Dave is a director of Toppings and a Chartered Structural Engineer with over 25 years’ experience as a consulting structural engineer.
Dave studied Civil Engineering at the university of Liverpool before completing a post graduate diploma at the University of Salford and went on to specialise in building structures. After working for small and medium sized consulting engineers, Dave was a founding director of the business in 2007.
The business has steadily grown from 2007 to today & Dave has maintained a hands on approach carrying out thousands of commissions across all sectors of building design. On larger projects, Dave acts as project lead and deals with the initial concept design before the wider team are used to resource the project.
Dave is an experienced structural designer with a good record of mentoring graduates through to chartership and specialises in complex issues. Dave has acted as expert witness on a number of occasions.
