Tanner's Moat

Situated in the centre of York, in the River Ouse flood zone. This was a demanding, historic structure. Add to the mix a touch of archaeology and constraints on excavation and we had a real head-scratcher. The solution: a hybrid, lightweight timber and steel frame with a gull wing roof and light structure throughout, with a resilient and raised ground floor.
